WOW IMPORTS Personalized Necklace + Giveaway

As I promised, on my previous post that I will share my experiences about my two-week vacation but I'm excited to do a post on the personalized name necklace first. Ms. Lisa of Wow Imports is so kind to offered and let me choose from any personalized name necklace thru her Wow Imports online store. I've had my eyes on Carrie name necklace as it reminds me of Carrie Bradshaw necklace on Sex and the City. Upon browsing with different style of necklaces, I fell inlove with personalized animal jewelry but there's one particular pendant I had in mind which it's not on the selection. I asked her if I could have a pendant"Mr. Freddy with a lion's head". After exchanging emails, Ms. Lisa promptly responded me with a good suggestion to have a "whole lion instead of lion's head" which I'm 100% yes! I hope I don't sound like a demanding person to her. I just would like that it's something to be treasured and later I could pass it on to Mr. Freddy when he grows older. I'm so much elated when I got my very first ever personalized necklace from Wow Imports. I've really been longing for this necklace so, thanks so much to Ms. Lisa and for accommodating my request.

Savannah, Georgia

Hi Everyone! I'm glad to be back home already from a two-week trip. I apologize for not being around and thank you so much for the unending comments on my page though I was absent for awhile. I just want to let you know how much I missed all of you. I realized I badly needed to catch up on things with you guys. Wish I could have updated my blog during my trip but being a mom and a wife, my plate has been filled with lots of responsibilities and it never ceases. By the end of the day, I'm totally exhausted and the every day trip knocked me off at night. My brain couldn't function so well due to stress. Mr. Freddy has been my alarm clock in the morning. That means, I am obliged to wake up in the very early morning and addressed everything what he needs for (i.e. changing to clean and dry diaper, feeding him and I being his playmate). But, I really enjoyed and there are so much memories shared on this trip. Without my hubby, I wouldn't have gone to other states of America and see beautiful places that I've ever been dreaming before. Thank you so much to my hubby for taking me to twenty States already since the time we got married.

Before we headed down to Key West, hubby decided to take Mr. Freddy and I to Savannah, Georgia. We stayed there for two nights sight-seeing and exploring around the town.
One of the things that made Savannah famous is the Spanish moss hanging around the trees. Spanish moss is everywhere in this town. They are good to look at but it's not a good idea to touch it as they contain chiggers and bugs. While we're in town some of the roads were blocked off, as the new Robert Redford movie "Conspiracy" was being filmed.

After touring around downtown, we didn't pass the opportunity to check out Bonaventure Cemetery. The movie "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" was filmed here and made the city a tourist destination.
For me, this is the most beautiful cemetery I've ever seen in my life. It's surrounded with spanish moss and that's what made it a haunted and scary cemetery. Bonaventure Cemetery is also known for the artistically carved gravestones and often large monuments.

If you have watched the movie "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil", you can remember these famous statues on scene. Here are the photos of the monuments that hubby took from the cemetery. Behind each statue has interesting story. The popular singer Johnny Mercer was also buried in this cemetery. Click here to read more stories about Bonaventure Cemetery.
This is Little Gracie Watson was born in 1883, the only child of her parents. Her father was manager of the Pulaski House, one of Savannah’s leading hotels, where the beautiful and charming little girl was a favorite with the guests. Two days before Easter, in April 1889, Gracie died of pneumonia at the age of six. In 1890, when the rising sculptor, John Walz, moved to Savannah, he carved from a photograph this life-sized, delicately detailed marble statue, which for almost a century has captured the interest of all passersby.

When my husband approached the following gravesite of a young person buried there. He crossed himself since he was going into a sacred area. He started taking pictures of the statues of the gravesite and it was almost magically that the butterfly appeared on the face of the statue. The butterfly kept on flattering around the face of the child statue as my husband took the pictures. When I talked to my husband later, he told me that he felt the butterfly was the spirit of the child buried there because the butterfly appeared out of nowhere and was absolutely not afraid of my husband and stayed with my husband as he continued to take pictures. It was a very mystical moment.

And some of the beautifully carved statues we saw in the cemetery...

Being a tourist of Savannah, I wanted to enjoy my day without any hassle with my outfit. I knew before hand that I would do a lot of walking so, I wore my very most comfortable clothes and flat shoes. Sorry if my outfit is kinda boring to look at it. Huh!

Mr. Freddy, having fun around while waiting for our trolley tour bus.

Hubby and I surprised Mr. Freddy. We brought him to the Train Museum. He's so happy to see the trains in real life instead of watching "Thomas the Train". LOL!

Thank you so much for taking time to read my very, very long post. Stay tuned as I've lots of stories to share with my next trip.

Fly Like A Bird

It was a gorgeous day again which we spent our family time doing photoshoot yesterday. You know, my husband and I are just so happy and we appreciate even petty things together as a family. That's how we are as a family. While we're doing our photoshoot, hubby well-captured this beautiful hawk resting on a trunk of a tree. So, thanks to you, Honey!

Not to mention, I love birds because of their freedom and their ability to fly. But, when I first saw the hawk, I started singing "Fly Like A Bird" song by Mariah Carey. Have you ever listened to that song? I love that song so much! It's truly an inspirational song especially to those people who are going to heartbreaking and onerous times. This song reminds me of the quote, " When there's nothing left but God, that is when you find out that God is all you need".

Outfit: Vintage St.Germaine jumpsuit and eyeglasses, neon green shirt worn as scarf, Nine West boots, sister's DKNY watch and a purse from friend.

Mr.Freddy's Outfit: Garanimals shirt, Unknown corduroy pants, Faded Glory shoes, scarf and beanie hat from Dollar Store.

Oh, I'm off to Key West for a few weeks family vacation. The road trip commenced today and spending my first night here in Virginia. Tomorrow is another long journey again. Ok, I've to tuck myself in bed now. I'm very exhausted from eight hours of traveling plus entertaining and playing with Mr. Freddy.

Thank you so much for the sweet and beautiful comments. I hope you all have a goodnight and a better day tomorrow!

Mr. Freddy's First Haircut

Finally, Mr. Freddy got his first new haircut last week before it had rained and the bad weather came for three consecutive days. It really took me a month to decide if Mr. Freddy has to cut his hair or not. I'm glad of the result. I guess, the new haircut suits him. What do you think?
(Sorry for the bad quality of photos though. I just didn't want myself carrying my big SLR camera going to the salon).

BEFORE chopping off his hair.

Here's Mr.Freddy, goofing around while he's getting his haircut.

And the result...
Mr. Freddy looks like a grown up lil' boy here. Huh! I'm starting to miss his baby face.

Because of the nasty weather for three days, Mr. Freddy and I were stuck at home.We did nothing but watching his favorite shows or playing peek-a-boo around with him. Yup, hiding behind the mirror is his favorite spot to hide.LOL!

Today, Mr. Freddy wasn't in the mood and didn't join with me in this photoshoot. He must be tired with lots of errands we did. Oh well, there's nothing I can do for a one year old child. I have enough respect to him.

Outfit: Vintage Brown Cardigan, Floral Jumpsuit, belt and GoJane shoes.

Thank you so much for the lovely and sincere comments.
I hope you all have a nice day!

Sand Ripples

It was another family activity since it was hubby's day off. We spent our family day chillin' at Nantasket Beach and did some photoshoot. I love this photo of sand ripples that hubby took.

Does perfect relationship exists? For me, a relationship is like sand ripples. Our life is not perfect, there's always bumps in the road. There are times we have perfect moments and there are times we have imperfect moments. I can say that my relationship with my husband requires an effort to have a healthy relationship. I always consider him to be my perfect-mate. I'm electrified to be with him. But, I know he's not perfect neither am. No matter how we worked well together and no matter how committed we are, there will be trials. There will be little flaws, disagreements and difficult times. During these trials, a relationship requires infinite patience, understanding and a lot of love. Before the day ends, my husband and I don't go to bed not until we ironed out the flaws. We both know how to say sorry if we hurt each other's feelings.

At the moment, we both enjoy our life being together and giving my unconditional love for him. Being optimistic and I'm looking forward to have a lifetime relationship with him.

Outfit: Max&Co. animal print shirt; vintage Christian Dior trousers; GoJane shoes; and unknown bag.

I should have painted my nails red but I couldn't find the nailpolish. It must be Mr. Freddy who misplaced it. Huh! Every thing he sees, he would play with it.

Whatever mommy does, Mr. Freddy immitates it. I guess, Mr. Freddy's imitating my pose here. Noticed how he spread out his arms just like I did on the photo above. Either he's just showing off that he could be your ideal lil' man. He doesn't need to describe himself anymore. Let the shirt says itself. LOL!

I'm sharing you the story of Star Fish on the Beach which it reminds me of Mr. Freddy's photo above.
Star Fish on the Beach
"One day there was an old man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on to the beach before he began his work. One day he was walking along the shore. As he looked down to the beach, he saw a human figure moving like a dancer. He smiled to himself to think of someone who would dance to the day. So he began to walk faster to catch up. As he got closer, he saw that it was a young boy and the young boy wasn't dancing, but instead he was reaching down to the shore, picking up something and very gently throwing it into the ocean. As he got closer he called out "Good morning! What are you doing?" The young boy paused, looked up and replied, "Throwing starfish in the ocean." "I guess I should have asked, why are you throwing starfish in the ocean?". "The sun is up, and the tide is going out, and if I don't throw them in they'll die". "But young man, don't you realize that there are miles and miles of beach and starfish all along it. You can possibly make a difference". The young boy listened politely. Then bent down, picked up another starfish and threw it into the sea, past the breaking waves and said "It made a difference for that one".

Mr. Freddy's Outfit: Miniwear black shirt; Mommy's DIY ripped jeans; and Converse shoes.

In this photoshoot, I'm glad Mr. Freddy had learned something educational again. This time he learned about zebra. He really enjoys this zebra puppet a lot. Thanks to my friend Alpha for this wonderful present for Mr. Freddy!

Shout out to the management and staff of boston.com for putting Mr. Freddy's photo.
